‘The World Will Not End in 2022’ a 2022 version of the World Will Not End series.

In the work the artist works with the idea of fear propaganda in our society. In a humorous way Hulda reflects on the Maya prophecy of apocalypse in 2012 with a multilayered message to individuals as well as the society altogether. The series was born in the famous apocalypse-year as a spray paint graffiti message left on the wall of Leap gallery in Berlin as a sign of performative collaboration between Hulda, the artist Claus Philipp Lehmann and a young graffiti kid from the neighbourhood. During a strobe light shutdown in the gallery space the message appeared facing a large window overlooking Alexanderplatz. The next year the message appeared again as a prophecy for the future on a giant billboard placed on the junction of two heavy traffic streets facing the Justizvollzugsanstalt prison in central Berlin. See here. In 2015 the message appeared yet again, this time as a solo-project in collaboration with Cycle Music and Art Festival in Gerdasafn Museum in Iceland. This time the message was written on the floor of the museum parking space in company of the sound of The New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorák. See here. After a fearless break of seven years it is time to send out the signal again.
