Rhythm of Labor / Taktur í verki

Keep Frozen is a long-term artistic investigation—over fifteen years in the making—that explores the global economy through the lens of industrialized fishing in Iceland. Spanning material, visual, performative, and filmic approaches, the project unpacks the local dynamics of Arctic labor and logistics to reveal their wider geopolitical and economic relevance. More than a monograph, the book features essays that critically engage with the Arctic's growing global significance, weaving together perspectives from both the North and the Southern Hemisphere. This publication offers a layered, interdisciplinary entry point into one of the world’s most contested and rapidly changing regions.
